Has any one come across a fly sheet style awning / sun shade in a light weight material that would slide into a awning type of rail.

No but I know a man who has

Do we mean Lillypad type ? I have two and they are very useful (y)

Do you want mesh type material or just lightweight material. Lillypad do a mesh which keeps wind out.

Hi
Back in our VW camoper days I made one. I got a tarpulin in green nylon tent material about three metre square. I sewed, with sewing machine, a length of cord, that would slide into the rail, along one side. The other end was supported by some old metal tent poles we had. It took little space and was very effective at keeping the rain out of the sliding door.
Hope this helps.

Hi
Matamoros's post came when I was typing but that Sunncamp one looks good, if that is what you were describing.

I think we got it when they were on offer for about £67

We don't have a wind out canopy on the MH but have a "C" rail fitted to the side. We use the shade when we don't want to put up the Kampa Rally Air Awning but want a bit of shelter from either the sun or rain and don't have to worry about the wind-out doing a flip in the wind.

It does fit in into the wind out-out rail

If you using it for a sun shade check the UV blocking, a mistake the optician told me I should not have made.

@Wombles that looks just the ticket, I can’t be bothered to fit a wind out and this will do the same job with no risk of damage if the wind does catch me out.

Glad you like it - might go for the 3m to match the magnetic strip - let us know if you find a good deal anywhere on it :)
Best I've found so far is Highbridge Caravans https://shop.highbridgecaravans.co.uk/sun-canopies/c397 - use discount codes £7 off £70 £15 off £150 etc https://shop.highbridgecaravans.co.uk/5-voucher-codes/i77 & it's free delivery if over £100.

Not sure the suckers will do my job but a good option for some.

Only thing that's stopping us buying the Isabella Shadow now is as it's designed for caravan height will need to check pole height & make sure fitting it on the top of the PVC that the angle will be enough to clear the sliding door  That's something to check for coachbuilts with hab. door too. Emailed Isabella for maximum height of the poles provided & prompt reply was 190cm.

For anyone who is considering the Isabella Shadow but might need taller front poles than 190cm - Isabella say to order
VX extension poles for the Veranda poles which work by fitting over the end on the top of the leg pole to extend the overall length & they retail at £12 each.
