To be added to the disused railway line thread this is the cervenois which will run from Florac to sainte Cecile d'angorge which is east of Florac,
The eventual height discrepancy will be 700 m so it will be steep over those 30kms and the other 17 kms will go up to a lesser incline as it tops out in the middle.
At the moment only 18 kms are voie verte. That's 9 km at either end.
We did Florac to St Julien D'Arpaon from the tourist office in its nice new plush building on the main road with adjacent one night only bays for motorhomes but excess parking as well.
The route starts off promising with flat cinder but deteriorates to nigh on mountain bike course quite quickly and remains as that until 400 m from the finish. Encouragingly there are a couple of tarmac dumps and it still in progress. It is unnoticeably hilly on the way up probably because of selecting lower gear and higher electric for the surface.
We got a small tunnel and viaduct and a new bridge and stayed alongside the gorges river under trees for the vast majority of time.
Station at St Julien was a well used picnic spot for walkers.
Lady in the tourist office said it's supposed to finish in 2026 but has no hope of achieving that
Quick visit into the town which didn't overly interest us as stayed here years ago in a free aire which has now gone and noted it didn't interest us then either. If you get better weather than us there are some swimming points and a bit of rock jumping here https://maps.app.goo.gl/g1sRBvxi6JGAZpZp9
