flat battery

Just to follow up, cab battery reached 12.5V so reconnected and started straight off.
Had a drive around for 15 miles and its now on the mains hook up at home. The display is showing that its charging the vehicle and leisure batteries.
I will give it a few days and disconnect the mains to make sure the cab battery can hold a charge for a few days.
Thanks for the helpful comments peeps. Every days a school day.

Philandmena I think it has something to do with settings on the ec700, I haven’t touched them ( honest guv) and not sure I even understand what the correct settings should be
Without knowing your situation for certain, I think you may be right. However, you now have the necessary information to ensure your Cab battery is receiving a charge from your solar panel. I have only had a quick scan of the user instructions I posted in #18 but it looks very straight forward and this is something you need to understand and set up correctly. You also need to get the cab battery fully charged up again and pronto. It may well just need a full charge depending on it's state. Well worth a go before replacing it. One way you can check if the solar panel is charging the cab battery after you get those two items sorted is to put a multi-meter on the cab battery when you have some sun and you should see a higher voltage going into your battery. You don't say how long your camper was standing for without hook up or where you are. Assuming its been weeks and in the UK the likelihood is it has not been receiving a charge at all from the Solar panel and the battery has just drained. (and might be goosed) Can you get it on hook up for a few days. I would suggest at least 48 hrs on charge to see if it can be recovered. (if you can get it on a really good charger it might be recovered). Once all that is done, that may be the riddle to your problem. (Solar panel not selected to charge cab battery) This I believe is the way forward. Re-charge the battery, let it rest for a few hours and see if its holding its charge 12.7 V. is good then make sure your solar is charging the battery and just monitor every few days after that. You might have to replace your cab battery if its goosed but one step at a time.

thanks Philandmena that is all explained ,so an old fart can understand
its just the smart bit im struggling to understand , if you would kindly explain for a very grateful fellow funster

It states the following : Active battery select – The battery highlighted in blue is the active battery, this is the battery being charged by mains (when plugged in) and the battery that is being used by the system. Pressing the smart battery charging button switches smart charging on and off, the button is lit blue while on. Solar battery select – the battery highlighted in blue is the battery that the solar charging is being directed too. Pressing the smart battery charging button switches the solar smart charging on and off, the button is lit blue while on.

If this is beyond you, I would get someone who is near you to break this down for you and who can show you in your motorhome. Alternatively, as it is new you could go back to your dealer if he is close by and ask him to walk you through it.
Just so I know some very basic stuff here. Have you managed to download the user instructions I have posted to help you ?
As an afterthought ! what do you mean by the smart stuff you cant comprehend ! Can you be specific about what your struggling with as I'm just second guessing.

Baden 87. When set to solar smart charging the system automatically keeps both the engine and habitation batteries topped up with charge as and when they need it. (during daylight hours).

Last 2 Motorhomes where both Rapido. If I leave it on charge (EHU) or Solar both sets of batteries remain fully charged. From that, I take it that the "management system" is doing it`s job. With a tracker and an Alarm system activated, there will be "Ghost" drains.

I think he's got this but does not understand how to follow the instructions in the operating manual.

Smart for EHU and smart for solar, let the PSU do the work.
