Just returning fron 6 week Road trip. A camera flashed at me doing 52 even though sat nav said 55 was OK. Am I likely to get a fine, how much, will I be harassed if I don't pay back in UK? What's others experiences?

Damn. I got the wrong idea. :(

On a serious note, the sat nav rarely picks up emergency speed restrictions unless they are there for a long time and the sat has been updated.
I got caught like that in Turkey, sat nav told me I was OK, it also let me know there was a camera but because I was below posted speed limit on sat nav I thought I was ok.

It probably picked you up as a heavy goods vehicle and flashed as you should have been under 80kph if a goods vehicle don't lose any sleep over it!

Chances are they will not chase you.
I've been flashed a couple of times - I think when there is a height measure they think you are an HGV, so lower speed limit.

In addition since B***** it's too much of a hassle to chase on either side of La Manche

I assume you are talking mph? If kms then if limit is 50 you add 10% then deduct 3. You'd be right on a fine at that.
I got done doing 87 in an 80 last year.
80+8=88-5= 83=fine
Not at home at present so can't tell you the exact figures.

It probably flashed you assuming you were a large van or lorry, once it sees your a camping car you’ll be fine. I’ve had the same several times when with in the speed limit for my vehicle but possibly over for larger, I’ve yet to receive any fine.
