Fixing a tent to wind out canopy

Has anyone attempted to attach waterproof material from a tent to the wind out canopy on a van? I am looking at ideas as to the best way to do this so it does not look cheap and nasty. Would be good if anyone who ha done this can provide some info and photos if possible, cheers

What is it you want to do with the material?

You could sew on a keder strip of the correct diameter to the material and attach it like any other awning extension.

That’s what we did to make a sun canopy to hang down from the front of the awning when open.
