Got to the stage of fitting the mopeka unit to the bottom of my underslung lpg tank. One last question😁When you apply the primer which comes as part of the kit,do you have to leave it to dry before sticking the self adhesive collar?Thank you.

I didn't use the Mopeka mounting ring on my underslung (no flat surface on the underside of my tank), I just used the magnets and the retaining cover I made as per the other thread.

You need to make sure that you mount your sensor in a position where it is not going to have the internal float gear in your tank interfering with the vertical path of the ultrasonics that the Mopeka sensor sends out and receives.

I ordered a mount from LPG UK which is supposed to be shaped to fit the curvature of an underslung tank.Due to arrive today so will soon know.I still intend to copy your excellent idea regarding the retaining cover as a just in case.Ihave tried it with just the magnets and it is holding pretty well but don't have the confidence to try it out until back up plans are fitted. Thanks very much for help in this continuing saga.

Have you got a link to the mounting collar that you have bought, as I have not seen one for underslung tanks, only for flat-bottomed tanks and upright cylinders like Calor and Gaslow.

I thought the collars were for the bottom of upright bottles?
I do have a Mopeka on one of my underslung tanks. Held in place by a small ratchet strap.
