Hello

I want to fit this lock here as a bit of extra security on the rear door.

is it best to use screws or bolts that go right through the door from the outside to the inside?

If using bolts what's the name of the type that's blank on the outside ie no bolt head or screw head that could be used to undo them?

Coach bolts have a smooth head and square profile under the domed cap.

and be aware it's the square profile under the domed head that enables the bolt to be tightened.

Will the metal skin of the door be thick/strong enough to offer sufficient turning resistance to enable tightening?

Also, you'll probably have to drill the hole and then file out to match the square profile as pulling this into the door will cause distortion that may extend outwith the cover of the bolt head.
