Since 2008, with a gap between 2013 and 2018.
Are there any techy types that can see a way of (easily) fitting a battery master to my ebl 226?
If not what size cables would I need to connect directly to the batteries?
Thanks in advance.

You might be able to wire the battery master into to the back of the EBL which has connections for the starter and leisure batteries.

Yes that's come up in the searches I've done, but I'd rather not remove the unit. I just wondered if I could fit it using the sockets etc on the front.

It’s a shame you can’t get to the back without removing the EBL.

On the front, block 1 pin 2 goes to the starter battery.

That's great it probably can be done then. I'll have to get the multi meter out. If not I'll just run it straight to the battery.

If you haven’t done so already, have a look at the EBL manual, especially the last 2 pages.

Looking at the manual, it looks really easy to use the connections at the back of the unit. I might be brave and see if I can remove it and get to the back without disconnecting too much.

If you don't have solar, could you use the EBL Solar socket?

I have solar, but not using the ebl. How would I connect the BM to the solar block?

The solar block will have 3 pins, earth, leisure battery + and Starter battery + but do check as not all EBL's have the starter battery connection but that was on the old ones.

Mines 11 years old, but I will check it with the multi meter. I've seen a picture that used the solar block for the earth and leisure battery connections, with the brown starter battery wire spliced in to the main charger cable.
I'm guessing my charger cable would be the thicker red cable bottom left of my ebl. Does that sound right? Although it's still probably easier to get to the back side connections.

Yeah cheers Lenny, I've got the user manual, that's why I think it'll be better to access the back of the unit.

I think Pin2 of the solar 3-way connector isn't connected to the starter battery by a wire suitable for carrying power. It goes to one of those small 12-way Lumberg connectors that carries data wires. An alternative is the 3-way Minifit connector at the lower left (Block 3). Pin3 carries power from the starter battery, intended for the fridge heater, so can carry quite a lot of power.

One way to do this is to get a male and female Minifit connector, and make a short length of extension, say 50mm or so. While you are making this you could crimp in an extra wire to Pin3 for the BatteryMaster starter battery wire.

The 3-way Solar connector is a Mate'N'Lok (MNL) connector. You can get connector shells and pins separately, crimp the pin onto the wire, and slide it into the shell until some small barbs lock it in place. Available from automotive electrics suppliers, for example
