Hi all as the title says were going to Spain from Plymouth to Bilbao in September , never had our camper on a ferry before ! I’m considering taking our side loading trailer with our scooter on it , how easy is it to take a trailer to Spain , I’m thinking security , restrictions and getting on and off the ferry , any advice is much appreciated

Well happy holiday. The ferries are setup to get allsorts of vehicles on and off so there should be no problems there. Security wise I will give you the same advice that I was given. Nail everything down. The Spanish are fine it's the gypsies and immigrants that are the problems. Try to stay away from the big cities as they attract the thieves. Do not put your passports and credit cards in your better halves handbag. Keep them separate and hidden. Ignore people who drive along side on the motorway pointing at the wheels. Same things at the services. Do not be distracted and keep all valuables hidden.
I do not want to sound doom and gloom but some precautions should be taken.
