The swallows were outside on the telephone wire yesterday so thats a sure sign.

Even better, just watched the first big race of the season. Very good it was too.

When you order the first lot of Race Fuel its big smile time, after the layoff (y)

How much is that stuff these days?
Methanol is about £75.00 for 25 ltr, We were paying £120 something for 50 ltr's of control fuel in 2015 per meeting

I can remember paying not much less per 5 ltr from Santa Pod many years ago. Why the need for expensive a formula fuel? What's wrong with 5*

@Stealaway , Haha the official reason is to stop us using expensive high octane fuel (cheating) which is a load of bo.... because we had to go std engine's to try & keep the speed's down, so with out high compression the race fuel doesn't work, so a waste of money.
But if we bought pump fuel the organisers wouldn't be able to cream something off the top of the race fuel suppliers  ;)

We ran VP U4 for a bit, £4.80 a litre, but it was horsepower in a can , and it let you run compression and ignition advance that you couldn't get away with otherwise. Now we run Shell V Power plus, which is good enough for what we need.

Yep, spring is just around the corner. (y)
