Likewise. I was given one by our son and it’s an amazing bit of kit. We’ve carried a sack of logs (and a pruning saw to replenish it) ever since.Had one of these for a while. Very compact.
Used on a few fun rallies.
Some other funsters have bought the same. Only a bit bigger than a pringles can when packed away.

Look good but at £343 a bit out of my price rangeThe best firepit is the one made by Snow Peak
However the price is eye-watering.

But I've used a couple of them, they are excellent, both of my siblings have one.
They fold flat and come with a carry bag
They can burn both wood and charcoal, you can also cook on them, and due to the inverted pyramid design it means they give out heat to the end and use far less fuel than a conventional flat based fire pit or BBQ
The Scouts have come up with a decent quality registered copy of the Snowpeak one at a third of the price.
I managed to get one for £50 with a Scout discount, as did several friends, so we now have three of them when we camp.

The copy made under licence by the Scouts is nearly as good.Look good but at £343 a bit out of my price range
Ah! now that makes a lot more sense at £50 looks like a good piece of kitThe copy made under licence by the Scouts is nearly as good.
(and quarter of the price)

My daughter bought us one of those portable mesh ones for Christmas - we've not had chance to use it yet so I'm encouraged by the positive feedback. We used to use an old BBQ that we converted, but the new one is much more compact.
