This echos my experience when returning home from St Valery sur Somme a number of years back and becoming entangled in a string of probably illegal unmarked pots, I called up on Ch16 for assistance and the SNSM (French RNLI) responded and the priority for them was getting my credit card
Perhaps the point was not obvious enough for you in my reply. Lets just say it's a long standing nautical issue which sadly I had to experience. What's the issue with you paying for your rescue?

OK Edit. RNLI do not charge!!!
Agreed but I wasn't a ferry or commercial; they still charged unlike RNLI.The RNLI do not have the ability to tow a Ferry.
If a ferry is having 'technical difficulties' in one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, I'd expect the nearest tug to respond.

Thinking of all the frightened people on board I assumeIs this likely to have any effect on a person, lets say, on MOnday morning at 0930 on an Irish Ferry out of Dover ?
Just checked and it wasnt our boat but ours is likely to be a covid petri dish as they will fill it up with other less lucky travellers
Its just going to be heaving, and there was a recent thread about catching covid on the ferry on the way back as the only plausible explanation for a couple of funsters.Thinking of all the frightened people on board I assume
In recent travels they gave been empty- quite a few lorries/ divers but they tend to keep to their own lounge. Even if they doubled the amount of cars/ vans I would expect there too be plenty of room on board ( it has recently been so empty I have wondered how they make any money)Is this likely to have any effect on a person, lets say, on MOnday morning at 0930 on an Irish Ferry out of Dover ?

We are doing the Belgian German border disused railway line towards Luxembourg for 12 days
thinking about it, I believe the staff live onboard, so probably only half of them are working at any one time90 staff and 180 passengers !
Have done parts of that great cycleWe are doing the Belgian German border disused railway line towards Luxembourg for 12 days
Well looking forward to it.Have done parts of that great cycle
The RNLI won't tow a ferry, the tug was there to stop it ending up on the beach. Salvage would be a bonusInteresting that the sends RNLI attends for free; the mercenary French send a Tug for the Salvage.

How do the rnli recover costs from the rbpeople?Edit: SNSM charge for towing boats. Isn't that reasonable to cover costs?
Mask liberally dosed in 96°alcohol,gloves &a clear plastic bag over your head loosely tied at the neck, should keep you safe.Just checked and it wasnt our boat but ours is likely to be a covid petri dish as they will fill it up with other less lucky travellers
I must have cockblocked up to 3 or 400 covid parties and first responder throughout to incidents of all type (including I ve got covid in my bedroom and need help) and I have failed dismally in contracting it. 2 of my team are off at the moment with it. One got a negative about an hour ago so he all be at work tonight and I ll be working alongside him tonight, probably in the same car, attending the same incidents/partiesHow do the rnli recover costs from the rbpeople?
