Finding the right place

Hi all I wonder if you good people can help, I’ve been trying to find a site down Devon way to stay for a few nights that is close to the sea and has a town or something you can walk to with an old dog so not to far.
Dawlish
Torquay
Sidmouth
Paignton
Ideally around these areas but am open to ideas.
