I'm a newbie, but owned a caravan about 30 years ago.
Anybody had recent experience at Filey Brigg campsite. We're doing a tour of Yorkshire in July and was thinking of staying a couple of nights. Any comments much appreciated.

We love Filey but the Filey Brig campsite, while very convenient isn't well cared for and the staff are bored. If you decide to use it anyway and want hard standing which I would advise, it would be best to book on line because the staff are apt to say they're fully booked rather than bother with you.

We were there few weeks ago, basic council run and a bit dated, but for us os the best for access to the town. Have never found the staff bored, always been friendly and helpful. Perhaps we have just been lucky. Have booked both online and over the phone, but online has taken over since covid hit.

I love filey brigg but the staff do get a few complaints about their attitudes (but you only have to deal with them on arrival) i found them not overly friendly its basic but in a lovely position to walk along the brigg or into town ive been a few times even stayed for new year ,its our go to site when we feel like getting away , i think youll enjoy it

This is our experience too. Go and enjoy it and have great fish and chips in the town.

Just be aware if you want a hardstanding, they are at the back of the site under trees. Having said that, the location is great and I'm sure you will enjoy it, we have been many times.
