I have a Carthago Liner for Two 2022 2184cc 180bhp 9 speed auto.
I read on the forum the other day that there might be a recall for a software update on the auto gearbox. This prompted me to check why I had not received any notice of such recalls.
This turned out to be more difficult than I thought. Firstly Fiat Professional customer care contact numbers on Google seem to all be gibberish. This led me to instead contact my local Fiat commercial dealer. Their first question was to ask registration number. Surprise, surprise this meant nothing to them. However the vin number found the vehicle which has four recalls one of which is a gearbox and engine control system software update. The Fiat recall code is 6926. I have now booked my van in for this important recall. I was understandably concerned as to why I haven't had any notice from Fiat regarding recalls, but thought I knew why.
I contacted Fiat Professional customer care who low and behold could tell me that according to them I'm not on their records as being the owner/keeper. I suspect as Fiat sold the chassis to Carthago they have them as the current owner.
However the agent at Fiat has indicated that if I send him a copy of my V5 and ID they will amend their records accordingly. I suggest that any motorhome owners check with the chassis manufacturers that they have the correct keeper on their records. I understand that this should be done when the vehicle is first registered but apparently this does not always happen
Has anyone else had this experience?
