Hi
I am considering upgrading/changing motorhome from an A-class Fiat Hymer Exsis i580 to a semi integrated Mercedes Hymer B-MC T680.
I would appreciate any advice or help with the pro’s and cons, especially from anyone who had these MH.
For example…
Fiat vs Mercedes?
7m vs 7.4m?
Under 3.5t vs 4.5T?
Running/servicing costs?

We have just changed from a Ducato based Adria C-class to a Mercedes based A-class. My opinion is
Sprinter 170 auto is a much better unit compared to the Fiat. So saying, more expensive too. MPG is similar.
Both our vans 7.5m. We didn't want to go bigger (manouvering issues) or smaller (comfort and storage issues)
Adria was 3500kg and we were overweight with what seemed like half our stuff still outside the van. It was uprated after our first trip to 4100. Hymer is 4500 and we have about 300kg spare on our normal loading. There are a number of posts on here making the valid point that you struggle with payload in a 7.5m van at 3500kg. You need a C1 licence though if you go above that weight.
We haven't had the Merc serviced yet, but working on my car services, I am expecting it to cost more to maintain.
I hope this helps you. Good luck, and happy travels.

Thank you.
One of my main reasons is the extra payload, the extra space inside and the drive of the Mercedes.
