Yep, best engine ever fitted to a Ducato, strong reliable and gutsy. I'm not sure but it will outlive me!The new van has sine 55k one owner, should be good for a few years. How often does the chain need changing?
It should last the life of the engine but with very high mileages might stretch a bitThe new van has sine 55k one owner, should be good for a few years. How often does the chain need changing?

Dave, got some pictures to show us your new purchase?
Good choice of engine. Our Hymer has the 3litre engine and it has a chain. It pulls well and cruises at motorway speeds very quietly. We get 24mpg in a 4.5t A class, but I have a heavy right foot so you may get more.
I gave it a funny but not quite sure what a bordello on wheels looks like. I bow to your superior experience in that regard. I did google it but the only image I found was some old Rapido with paint peeling off the bonnetI'm done with wannabee French motorhomes, that look more like a bordello on wheels...
