Sorry about the post title . Started the motorhome today Ducato 2019 150 model and the amber warning light came on - which according to the handbook can be anything from a bulb to world destruction and suggests taking it to a dealer for diagnostics (took it for a short drive anyway and it was fine ) . Looking for a recommendation of where to take it , local to Southampton to get it checked .

Suggestions most welcome

Have you checked the oil level? To high, to low, either will activate it, it's a notorious instigator for bringing the light on.
Do you park on a slope ? That will also skew the electronic reading of the oil level.
I had to disconnect the negative battery terminal once to extinguish the light, after spending hours checking every bulb, etc.
Leave dis-connected for 15 mins or so.

Well whatever it was the light has gone off now , which might be a loose connection (though did check all the bulbs ) but will check the oil levels next week - parked pretty level.

Our Ducato used to do that. Check Oil Level even though it was spot on the top mark. It depended upon what sort of slope we were parked on.
Bloody annoying.😡

Adams Morey at Portsmouth are about the best with Ducato's. They have are Southhampton branch but I would still go to Portsmouth.
Nothing wrong with the Southampton branch we have always had great service from them and they also have a dedicated Motorhome service and repair workshop👍😊

Had this 'general' warning light appear on my 2019 Fiat 2.3 150. My trusted independent couldn't find any fault codes logged when they interrogated the data.

When driving, after a few hundred yards the warning light disappeared. Eventually it was traced eventually to the oil level sensor. If the vehicle was parked on a slope the warning light came on when started, if parked level the light didn't come on. The oil level was correct and this happened again after the last oil change when we know the oil level was correct.

Changed the sensor and no repeat if the problem.

How saddened I am that all have is a lowly dipstick! 😢

It has been a long time since it gave me any problems though! 😄

We have a dipstick as well, but the sensor doesn't read off that. It's always a good idea to check the level physically on the stick before adding extra oil as getting it out again is a PIA. I know believe it's extended parking on an uneven surface that activates it as I never known it to happen when parking overnight or briefly on a slope. Generally, a short run, then park and switching off the engine for a couple of minutes will clear the fault.

The more they put on them, the more to go wrong. Fiat engineer friend showed my how to get rid of spurious lights by holding the headlight switch down for 5 seconds and it worked.
