The lights on our 2019 fiat ducato are rubbish, anyone know if they can be upgraded?

My Fiat Ducato headlights are rubbish too! Yellow in colour and very poor forward vision. This is on a brand new 2022 model. Ironic that ALL other lights on the vehicle are bright LED units, even the front facing top marker lights, which appear brighter than the headlights! There must be a better solution than the halogen H7 55w type that are fitted. Loads of LED bulbs out there, Phillips being mentioned as ones with really good beam cut off patterns to prevent dazzling other road users.
Anyone had any experience with these ?

In theory but loads of us on here have fitted LED and we have passed the MOT. My last MOT was at a Fiat Profession garage and the van passed with LED's.
Have done a bit more digging and you are right some MOT testers will pass so long as the beam angle is correct. Most of the failures are probably becuase the beam angle is out.

Retro fitting LED's will mean a MOT fail
My bro is a tester and he said if the beams as it should be most couldn't give a toss.
I tried fitting Katur H7 on the car but hit a problem.
Mine use a ⅛ turn base plate to hold the bulb in but the led is for the spring clip type.
It may also be too long, because of the cooling fan, to get the cover back on.
You could try 150w night breakers instead
If the headlamp has a spring clip securing the bulb it should fit

You need a different spring clip to the H7 bulb, I got a pair on eBay.
Can't see what can be different about the spring.
The manufacturer's said they could supply a different locking ring for mine if I took a photo of the base plate.
Less than 1½" between back of lamp and bulge of inner wing....I had to release and remove the halogen with long nose pliers.
Be near impossible to get a clear photo and even less chance of undoing the screws to remove the locking plate unless I removed the front of the car and headlamp unit.
I wanted them fitting then, not in 3 weeks when the part arrived from China......maybe.
Sent back to Amazon.

It was on my A Vlas I had to take the headlamps out. With the H7 clip the LED's were all floppy needed a clip about 2mm higher. The clips I bought said they were for LED's.

I fitted the Night Busters to my Ducato. Osram I think made a massive difference

I fitted Katur bulbs to my 2019 Ducato. By golly! :dance2:

Its no longer dangerous to drive at over 30MPH in the dark

That's what I was hoping.
My night vision isnt the best and I have trouble seeing the verge in oncoming lights.
My solution was a couple of 5" X 2" LED spotlights set to illuminate the verge and white line.
Works a treat and doesn't dazzle oncoming vehicles.

Was it just a case of swapping bulbs or any other messing around? Thanks

I did it and don't regret it! Link in the video description to the bulbs.

Sorry, late reply.
They were from Amazon.
I wired them to the dip beam at the headlight via a relay to allow for the canbus system.

I didn’t take a chance on a fail so spent 10 mins swapping back to candles before the test and put the led’s back afterwards 👍

The standard bulbs are rubbish. I put these in:

Amazon product ASIN B07KQ34HBL
Much brighter, and being LED have less dazzle for continential use. I only fit beam deflectors on the passenger side.

I have failed one MOT and passed two. The trick is to ensure that they are fitted at the right angle. Even an 1/8" off the horizontal will send the beam out.

Also upgraded the side lights to these:
