Evening everyone

Slight issue, thought I could smell diesel in the van today and did notice a little rainbow 🌈 in the front of the van but after checking everything couldn't find anything until this evening

Just noticed under the fuel filter its wet and its not raining outside 😑, so on closer inspection found the sensor to be lose and wobbly, had a service about 1k ago and the filter replaced

Where's the best place and best prices for a fiat water sensor near Poole on a NK14BVJ van 🤔, kind of need it tomorrow as meant to be going away again tomorrow

is That a crack on threads in pic three?
never had that out of filter so unsure.
as a last resort could you not black it off with a bolt and o ring washer?

The sensor is definitely f^%ked and I have a spare new filter and was thinking of taking the delivery screw out of that and blocking it off at least it will get me to a place that will have a replacement

Sorry cannot get bloody link to work

doesn't it just need a new washer? should have been changed when the filter was replaced as they come with a blanking plug & washer that allows non-sensor vehicles to be drained. You just swop the washer from the plug to the sensor?

gus-lopez
looking at the pics it looks like the thread I’d knackered, as a stop gap I’d try blanking with a bolt and washer of ptfe but if he can source one might as well fit it.

RM_Marine how much?

How much effort can one broken part make

So boshed the fuel bung back into the fuel filter and ordered the new part from the only place I can find locally but they arent open till Monday, thought I'd email and phone around and no one from anywhere even stocks them
How come 🤷🏽‍♂️

Only took me less then 5 mins to put all back together with the original filter bung that came with the filter and yes now got engine management error lights

At least I can move van but hopefully these will go off when I fit the original part when it arrives, can't add another washer and put the old one back in due to the thread being split all the way through and it not going tight due to the split

So there is a alfa and fiat specialist here that stocks loads of parts and supplies to public

Only open week days

They also sell on ebay and depending on the time of ebay offer money off which makes its cheaper than there website
