Fiat Ducato Cross Wind Assist Issues

Hi everyone,I asked this question 3 years ago when my Fiat Ducato Roller Zifiro was new, the van has cross wind assist which I believe was standard on 2021 van’s but on my van it’s over sensitive I drove from Spain to Norway last month the drive north with no problems but coming back it activated at least 30 times in breeze conditions at one point it activated 3 times in 200 meters! since I brought the van it must have activated 200 times at least of course Fiat say it’s working correctly, I thought as time went by there would be more vans with the same problem,I have driven HGVs coaches at least 10 motorhomes but with my current MH I cannot relax,any ideas anyone?

I didn't know that there was such a thing! For 12 years I drove a lorry overnight from Glasgow to Lymm and back. On one very mild winter in the late 90s the wind blew gale force virtually every night for almost 5 weeks, it was scary but strangely exciting! On one night the wind was gusting to 90mph and on one 10 miles stretch of the M6 in Cumbria I counted 13 wagons blown over including two artics which had been blown over from a standstill having pulled over onto the hard shoulder.
What I learned out of that winter was that a 90 degree crosswind was slightly less dangerous than a 45 degree crosswind which acted like a wedge pushing you to the side and if you tried to stear into it to correct the force, that is the cause of flipping over.
I found that when my built-in crosswind assist (my bum clinging to the seat!) told me I was in danger, I didn't brake, I simply took my foot off the accelerator and let the engine do the braking. It worked for me.
No idea how one of these fancy wind assists actually work, I would be interested to find out
