I'm a newbie
Recently removed battery to charge.
After re fitting engine will not turn over.
Plenty of juice there but nothing at all.Glow plug light goes out etc
Immobilizer issues? Is there any quick fix,s I could try before calling in a professional?

Battery terminals clean and tight. Any click from (starter) relay. Headlights go dim when trying to start?

DOUBLE check the big fuses that are on the terminal block on the positive battery terminal. Use a multimeter there checking them all.
Checked these today, tried spare key.
Removed negative to try a reset still nothing.
It's in storage so not accessible daily.

Try waggling the cable that attaches to the solenoid on the starter. Then try again.

Cables at starter motor. And try and extra jump lead from battery neg post to engine block. Will show if earth at fault.

The old immobiliser KeyCode let's you spin starter but not fire engine.

Depending on how agile you are get to starter motor and check the small connector (trigger/exciter wire) is. If you have one take a test meter with you, and if you are in the know, do a short bypass of the solenoid to test the starter/earth/power supply.

It may be the earth lead to the engine.
Put a jump leads between battery negative and a clean metal point on engine.
If it's a fix remove the earth strap at the engine and clean the contact area both on engine and the lead then refit and try without the jump leads
