I fitted a new bike rack today. It has two top clamps for holding the crossbar of the bikes. The shorter of the two has the strap going horizontal rather than vertical for clamping round the crossbar. The end fitting doesn't seem to spin and I have fitted it with a bolt through the two pre drilled holes in the aluminium tube. An easy fix would be drilling two new holes and. spinning it 90 degrees but I'm just wondering if I'm missing something? Anyone got something similar or encountered the same problem.
