Im going to order a fiamma f45s for our moho this week and going to have a go at fitting it myself.
Has anybody installed one and have any pointers?(y)

I did mine....... I normally say measure twice and cut one..... this time measure 7 times and cut once (well drill)
I made 2 extra holes by mistake. Its ok. I filled them and covered with white vinyl so you cant tell lol but I know they are there.

Anyway... it was super easy just time consuming. all the work is single person except for lifting it on. I had a mate help but would be really easy if you can get two guys to lift it in place while you secure.

here is my thread from me doing it.

if your game save the money paying someone to fit it and have some fun. much more rewarding.... the only hassle really is where the mounts go. I was ok with one in a cupboard. one on open wall and the middle one with minimal dismantling a boxed area above the door were the control units are.

Thank you, very informative, awning ordered. Looking forward to getting it on..

I have often watched them being fitted and they always employ two people on ladders.

use plenty of masking tape and a length of string to ensure all the holes line up. you will need 2 people and a good stable platform to both stand on

Hi David , I saw your post about fitting f45s onto your camper , I'm going to fit one to my vauxhall movano conversion.
My question is do you need to fit the bracket that goes on the inside of the roof , reason I'm asking , I brought my camper converted and it has wood slats on the inside of the roof , will I need to have to cut into the wood to secure the awning.

Thanks in advance Rob

Usually the outer brackets are held in place by two bolts which pass through the wall of the van and then through the inner bracket/plate and tightened up with nuts on the inside so that the nuts don’t just pull back through the van wall. Possibly you could use longer bolts going right through the outer skin and the wooden ceiling with the inner brackets/plates on the inside of the ceiling. It really depends on the construction of your roof. I removed, re-sealed the brackets to the wall (with CT1) and refitted my awning with no help, I found it not too heavy but I’m used to fitting kitchen units on my own.
