Hi all, new to the motorhome world and need some help with an awning repair!

I managed to break the half leg on the awning leg, and have ordered a replacement. Not entirely sure how to fit the new one as it comes with no fixings other than some snap rivets. I have attached some pictures of the broken one and new part. The old one looks to have a bolt through, however the new part has no thread!

Please help 😫

hi and welcome.

its a simple case of removing the screw in the existing one and replacing with the new.
I say simple although its likely to be a bit troublesome.
unless its quite new the part is likely to need a bit of gentle persuasion to get it out of the leg.

as grasscutter has said the 2 supplied plastic fixing go through the top swivel pin one from each side and lock together.

Thanks all, having another look it really is as simple as pushing them in 🤦🏼‍♂️ Appear to over complicated it.

Thanks again 👍🏻

After inserting the pole the "rivet" pushes through the hole then the second rivet pushes in at a ⅓ turn from the first. The internal ribs will then lock together..

It doesn't matter how the old one was fixed....it's broken
