I'm a newbie
We have tried our bikes on the carrier on the motorhome but as I have a girly bike (vintage style), the clamps on the arm thingies don't reach my bike. It won't reach as we can't get the angle required. Can I buy some kind of extension that will reach my bike too make it secure please?

I used the Block pro which are adjustable for angle , with all of the arms , such as those you have , you can rotate the red ends (clamps) to suit the frame slope too.

Bike Arm hope this helps

You need something like this from Thule that goes between the handlebars and the seatpost to act as the crossbar and then it should attach ok. Alternatively, you should be able to turn the end of the short arm on its side and attach to the seat post of your bike.

How do I know which size to get please? Sorry if I sound stupid 😏

We tried turning but there isn't enough room on the seat post

Hi, sorry to hijack the question but I have the same problem - same bike rack, step through bike. The bike rack doesn't have any arm braces. My plan was to put the step through bike closest to the back of the motorhome and tie it onto the bike rack with straps or rope, rather than buying a new arm brace. Would there be any issue with that?

That is what Ray wants to do but I want to make sure it's perfectly safe

I've used a Bike Block Pro D1 on a step-through bike for a couple of years now - its very adjustable to get the angle right to the seat tube and holds the bike securely.
Generally you'll need the D1 for the bike closest to the rack, or the D2 if the bike is on one of the rails further away - but you can check the measurements on the Fiamma website.

There is a full set of bike blocks for sale in Fun classified...

The red end with the 'tap handle' rotates on the aluminium leg and is also able to slide along the tubing on the bike rack.

We got one to fit Margaret's step through.

This site gives measurements....

Thank you. Have you turned your handlebars sideways? I said we should be doing that to avoid banging on the back of the motorhome.

Yes, loosen the Allen bolt a little before mounting the bike, tighten again when in best position. Adds security, bikes lie flusher together and also makes it easier to get the cover on.
When you get an ideal mounting position for both bikes on the rack, take a photo on your phone for reference the next time.
