Hi everyone,

My awning got broken on a surprise windy adventure.

Looking at the side of the swing arm at the sticker it says my awning is a F45Ti 300 Polar Sunset.

Canvas is ruined. 1 arm is snapped etc... So just going to replace with an eBay job.

My question is.... I have the mounting brackets for this installed still of course.

Will any f45 something 300 size fit my van and I can literally just swap and use same mounting brackets?

It's a Ford Transit Jumbo High top 2003.

I have a privacy room too. However we are thinking of changing this to a driveway instead of stationary so not an issue if not compatible.

What does everyone think?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can swap out for a different model of F45, the brackets are pretty much universal. If you can get the self tappers out of the bottom of course, as they have a habit of rusting into the aluminium

Many thanks... I thought so .. just need to get a size 300

Any suggestions if they are rusted?

Thank you

Drill them out from under the bracket, use a drill bit of about 4mm until it is deeper than the cross screw diver insert then a 10mm drill or there about, nice and slowly to remove sufficient of the screw head so it comes off.
You will have a piece left in the awning but as you ar removing that it won’t matter.

Thanks Phill. Sorry I could have sworn I responded to this.

Having just had a wee bit of a nightmare with an F45 part - a leg bracket that looks identical in pictures, but there are actually 2 very subtly different versions for different F45 models - I'd advise googling for the parts diagram for your awning and your prospective one and comparing parts numbers.

Be warned, even using the ID serial number sticker on the awning arm, identifying the exact model is not easy and has no logic to it at all! Very Italian shall we say.........
