Anyone posted anything?

I was booked on DFDS Newhaven-Dieppe today.

I cancelled Thursday after seeing weekend forecast.

Surprised to see nothing on here.

Did I miss anything on here?

No rain in Dieppe today but the wind is picking up now. Will be worse Sunday I'm told.

55mph winds at Newhaven according to the BBC weather forecast and staying that way tomorrow.

We were due to sail on P&O Iona cruise today. After an awful coach journey from Scotch Corner through dreadful weather we arrived to find we would spend our first night on board tied up in Southampton. Still, we are safe, warm, dry, and have been superbly fed and watered. Might still be a bit lumpy when we set sail tomorrow!

At the end of the cruise you will find a letter from the Capt. in your cabin.

It will explain the delay in leaving Soton.

If you are insured with Nationwide via UK Insurance (I can't comment on the same circs.
if you are now covered by Aviva) you can get £80 per passenger for 'Delayed Departure.)

Additionally, if you have 'Cruise cover extension' you can claim for several circs. including
the missing of ports, confined to cabins, missing the ship after a day in port and loss of passport.

Daughter flew in to Luton Saturday night, pilot warned they might have to abort due to the wind.
