Has anyone been with a 9 metre motorhome and if so can you get parked easy and anyone know of a site close by coming back up shortly and would like to pay it a visit

If you're talking about the Enzo Ferrari museum in Modena, we stayed at Camping International Modena....not the quietest site (its convenient but a bit noisy from the motorway) but pretty relaxed and not expensive. It's about a 20 min bike ride from the Ferrari museum (ignore the sat navs....on a bike take a right out of the campsite and go under the underpass...most maps don't know you can get through)

Definitely worth a visit but can’t remember what parking was like. Modena is well served by trains so any site on the rail corridor from Bologna would suit. Bologna is a great city to visit and you could combine the two.

We stayed at Camping International too. Parking at the museum was easy but we were 3 shorter vans, however looking on google earth to remind myself, it looks ok.
Even I liked the museum, like going into an Art Gallery. We also did the bus tour of the factory …… a view of lots of closed doors with descriptions of what might be behind the doors !

If Modena then we parked out 7.5m van outside the Caribinieri near the station and walked to both the Maserati factory and Enzo Ferrari museum. We also parked there to get the train to Bologna for the day. Unfortunately I can't remember where we stayed overnight but it wouldn't have been far away.

The Modena museum focuses on the early days and classic Ferrari’s. The Marenello museum is more about Ferrari in motor sport (F1) and it’s also the factory site. Both are worth a visit but they’re some distance apart. If only doing one, my preference would be Modena, particularly if you like classic cars.

We went to both, the bus goes from the main museum at Maranello to the factory tour at Moderna
I may have misremembered the factory location but we definitely went to both.

Plenty of on-road parking at the Maranello museum, for any size motorhome. We went in June 2018. Can’t remember where we stayed but it wasn’t far away.

I visited the Maranello museum in August last year, and as said above, easily found roadside parking within 1/4 mile and then stayed on the free aire at the edge of the town, two and a half miles away. I only did Maranello as I’m more into F1, and enjoyed it, having called in at the Imola circuit on the way up.

Last year we stayed at the Bologna city camp for 5 nights and visited the Ferrari museum by train (30 mins). Camp at Bologna very good with nice pool and the bus to the centre stops inside the campsite.
