Favourite Crumble...Sweet or Savoury...

You probably already make it but we made some rhubarb and ginger jam last year and it worked a treat.
Not yet.
But I’ve been collecting jars to do it this year. We only moved over here September before last and TBH I was busy doing other things last year. Could you let me have your recipe please? I love rhubarb and ginger gin and I was going to do the jam this year.
I’m going to make a rhubarb crumble ( with custard ) for after tea tonight after all this talk of it. It’s such a grotty day , you can’t beat comfort food on a day like this.

I just looked up a recepie on the net and followed it more or less!. I'm a chuck in things you like and you'll like what comes out sort of cook!
I'll have a look it's probably a bbc good food guide one.
 
What interesting replies...many I intend trying....so far no mention of mushed banana with a trace of rum and pistachios....quite a favourite of our visitors....🤔🎉🇪🇦
 
Can anybody help with the recipe for the savoury crumble topping? I’ve a packet of mixed fish in the freezer needs using up! Thanks!
 
Apple and blackberry crumble. A match made in heaven. Proper blackberries though, grown in the wild, not in a hot house.

But to liven up the debate what to have with it. Custard, cream, evap milk or ice cream???

I've not made this myself, its the topping for a leek and tomato crumble:

150g butter
275g plain flour
150g cheddar, grated
100g chopped mixed nuts, toasted
 
Daughter just sent me a picture of a pear and chocolate crumble she’s just made which looked delicious 😋
 
I've recently seen a Ridgemonkey crumble idea...
Fruit of your choice topped with custard, topped with crumble.

Brilliant or a travesty?
 
My favourite is rhubarb. I grew a lot of rhubarb plants from seed a couple of years ago. We now have more than we know what to do with. Also apple when we have a glut of apples in September.
