Fault on truma boiler 2016 model (1 Viewer)

I have a problem with the electric side in that if i put it on mains it will heat, however it then decides to not heat until its left off for several hours when it will re heat. i seem to recollect reading a previous post there is a 125 degree stat in there that has been known to fail intermittently which seems to be a classic symptom of fault. Anyone any suggestions as to cause or should i order a new stat and see what happens.

Maybe bridge the stat out temporarily and see if it works?

Unfortunately it is an all in one sealed unit . No external terminals.
