I want to change the Michelin camper tyres on our van for van tyres and have seen good things about Falken tyres from others here. (yes, other makes are available.....) Hopefully running on van tyres at lower pressures will reduce the crashing and banging a bit. Been to the Fiat pro dealer with my V5 and no TPMS on the build spec so tyre pressure reduction not a problem. Also dropped the front tyres down to 4 bar and no alarms have gone off. I got in touch with Falken technical support with my fully loaded weighbridge axle weights and they have come back with the following tyre and pressure recommendations:
the filling pressures are as follows:
225/75R16C 118/116R VAN11
1880Kg = 3.8 bar
1700kg = 3.4 bar
225/75R16C 121/120R VAN11
1700kg = 3.3 bar
1880kg = 3.7 bar
So before I order the tyres does anybody who has Falken tyres have a preference between the two load ratings?

I’d go for ones that you need for your axle weights. I could have had 112 or 116 in our 15” sizes, the 112’s covered our needs the 116’s were over our needs. I thought the 116’s may have resulted in a harder ride because our weight was well below their capabilities.

Thanks. The 116's will easily meet our needs . They are more expensive than the 121's and are in short supply which is a pain

Do you think the falkens made for a better ride than the camper tyres?

Our last CP tyres were Continental campers replaced with Continental 4Season van tyres that were much more comfortable, had them seven years before choosing these Falken Euroall season van 11’s. I wouldn’t ever go back to CP tyres.
These appear better than the 4Season’s in that they appear a better shape at the recommended pressures, the 4Season’s always looked a bit flat.

Just make sure the tyre has a higher load rating than the axle as denisejoe said above. Its not what weight you run at that counts its what the plated weight states.

These are the all season tyres you looking at?
Falken make a van01 tyre, i had on last van and did not like the feel of them.

We run at 3500 but went for the 120/121 Falkens (EuroAll Season Van11) based on combination of price and having spare capacity, hopefully helping with resilience. ;) Much nicer ride than the Michelin CP tyres they replaced.

Thanks. That's made my mind up. Van is plated at 3860kg 2000kg on the rear axle. I will be ordering the 112’s. Thanks every one(y)(y)(y)

Hi - did you get the Falken 121's and if so how do you find them? We are in exactly the same predicament as you were, can't wait to get rid of the harsh ride of the Michelin Campers and we run at near identical weight to yourself. Would appreciate your feedback on the Falkens.
