Extremely windy in La Jonquera!

Just a head's up if you're travelling towards the Spanish/French border - very strong winds here at La Jonquera - had to pull off the AP7 as it was gusting 60/70 mph. Forecast to be like this all day Sunday too!

To give an idea how strong it is - Elaine was getting out of the van & it blew her off the step!

Be careful if you're travelling around here

Hunkered down in the shopping carpark watching lots of debris & items swirling around & up - it's like something out of Wizard of Oz!

Thank you - she tweaked her ankle but it could have been much worse.

Never had it this windy - it's difficult to move - just had to get Lulu dog out & it blew her over .

Lots of motorhomes parking up here now

They even said it could go up to 150kms/h. We have less wind here at Valence d'Agen (south west department number 82) but it is quite cold!

Yes, we are in orange alert here in Catalunya this weekend. It's really windy, up to 100km/h. It's not so rare here, windy often (specifically in the N and the S extremes), but it's been a while, after all this weird rainy march we had.
We had a very rough windy night in the van, but we managed to have oriented the nose of the van against it, and parked in a clear area, without trees.
Be aware when driving.
I hate wind, prefer rain
