I’m looking for some external screen covers, I particularly want to help reduce condensation in the winter.

Any suggestions/recommendations for which make we should go for? This is for a Ford Transit 2024 cab with remis blinds.

Thanks

I would also make sure you get a Long Cover that will go over your Bonnet Vents , keeps the Crap out of your Drain Holes. 👍

We have a Silverscreens front screen cover with the fold down privacy centre section that lets in light during the daylight hours.
We also have Silverscreens on a Ford Transit. Very easy to use. Only negative is that the tie downs from side doors are long Velcro straps that hook around part of wheel arch. I’m not yet sure how they would behave in really strong wind. Time will tell! Very good customer service. Make sure to get the ones with central ‘window’ section for daytime. Don’t use your Remi blinds at same time or you’ll get internal condensation.

we have Taylor made, more than happy with them. Not sure why the remis blinds come into the discussion as you asked re external screen covers?

We've got Taylor Made covers. When I enquired with Polar, they'd removed them from the market temporarily due to them letting water in. They said they'd be off sale for a few weeks, so we waited. But they weren't back on when we needed them, so bought Taylor Made.

Can't fault them for our 2024 Transit. We had the longer length. They come with hooks attached with velcro and 2 side magnets for the doors for if its windy. Customer service was second to none.

Silverscreens make 2 kinds of external screens. One design for if you have remis blinds fitted and another design if not. The pocket that fits over the cab door is deeper to accommodate the blind casing.

Some (most?) of the external covers attach to the front cab doors using a "pocket" which hooks over the top of each door, with the door then closed to keep the pocket in place. If you have remis blinds then a deeper pocket is required to accomodate the remis blind casing.

The "pocket" which hooks over the top of each door on TayorMade one is adjustable with Velco to suit cab doors with either Remis blinds or no Remis blinds. (y)

Had blinds from Taylormade on previous MH, service was friendly and excellent.
Changed MH and got s/hand from Silver screens but not as happy with the fit, long tapes that don’t seem to go where they should and no magnets to hold loose sections.

We have those. Very good but not cheap. Worth the money in my opinion.

I have mailed Polar and they advised that they have withdrawn the Transit (Mk8 onward) screens due to an issue with the door pockets and they are in the process of redesigning and testing some new ones. Given all the positive reviews here, I think I’ll wait a while and see if they’re back on their website in a few weeks time. Thanks for all the info and feedback.

As mentioned in my post #10 above. They were off the market in August when we were looking. It made me question what the 'fix' would be, so we bought Taylor Made. Not had a drop of condensation since using them, I wouldn't hesitate in buying them again.

Thanks Jo-jo I’d be happy with Taylor Made but their website shows delivery can’t be guaranteed before Christmas. Seems like a long lead time. Cheers

Had polar screens for last van, went with Taylormade for this one, much prefer the Taylormade. First choice for any replacement or a different van would be Taylormade👍
