Hi All,

A nube question, what do the plastic external fridge vent covers do & when do you use them please? All through park-ups, just over winter etc?

Not come across them on any boat, hence the question, and the van has a new swanky dometic fridge freezer (ouch! - not my ouch tho!) & a new set of covers in the garage.

Be gentle with me please!

Mark

The vent covers help the fridge/freezer work more efficiently in cold weather. They also help to stop water ingress.
They are normally used in winter (say below 8-9°) & during storage.
The bottom vent is the most important to cover

That's really helpful, thanks. I presumed they were just to keep wind/rain/leaves out in winter. Plsd I asked. Mb

Most helpful thanks, I didn't realise about the efficiency piece. Cheers!
