Any recomendations for an external CD drive for my Win11 laptop? I need speed as I will be ripping CD's so Shergar rather than Dobbin

I've always used Samsung external DVD/CD drives.
Remember speed is not everything (ooo errr)! Think about the quality of the rip as well.

Yes but I need to rip the CD to get it on my hard drive, both my desktop and laptop do not have a CD drive.

It's a long time since I ripped my CDs. I used Exact Audio Copy as it could sync the audio stream to cancel out jitter... whatever that means... It just meant I got a perfect copy every time without any pops or errors from scratches.

I have a Samsung Blue ray drive that I used to use with my Windows 10 laptop.
It will rip CDs to my Windows 11 laptop but not play a DVD or Blu-ray.
Hoping someone will succeed with another drive and let me know what works.

Coincidently I ordered that one from Amazon yesterday evening, It gets good reveiws and should do the job.

I keep an old Win7 laptop with an internal CD drive in operation, for exactly this eventuality
(But it won't play blu-ray DVD's)
