What are your thoughts on external BBQ points .

I have a bullfinch external flap but no connector.
There is no pipework connecting this socket up from inside ,so would need to run some 8mm copper and a T piece.
The idea is because we use a suitcase style gas canister stove for frying outside (you all know why)

But thinking if I bought a twin gas stove with a grill underneath we could pretty much cook everything outside and run it off the refillable lpg tank.

Nice long 5 meter hose .

Will cost a few quid to do so is it all worth it or am I just bored and looking for more work?

Just installed one on our celex(T5) only problem it’s on the wrong side but was easier to connect to gas connection.
Wouldn’t be without one love our cadac’s for breakfast n tea.

No idea, was like it when we bought it..
Suppose I won't know until I've connected it all up..
There is no space on the manifold and I can't see any cut pipes where it was once connected..maybe it was run to the gas cupboard before I don't know..

If it's knackered I'll be to far involved by then so will have to buy a new outlet point

Ours is in constant use. However, why has this been disconnected??

Is there an issue with the gas point.
If your gas point is in constant use, I'll hang back if we're following you ... Elaine actually said this to the guy on the Returns Desk at B&Q when there was a queue of over 20 people waiting to get refunds, and she saw a large B&Q Poster announcing the immediate recall on safety grounds of a brand of BBQ. When the harassed employee did the autopilot 'Next please, what can I do for you?', she replied, 'It's about my BBQ. Can I finish cooking my burger first?' ... Welcome to Glasgow, Steve ...

We had a Bullfinch fitted.....the fitter did a T connection from fridge supply....so I Cadac cook under the canopy......I have a separate hose, fitting and regulator when I need to cook in a sheltered location or communal cooking situation....Camping Gaz 907 does the job....
Agree that 2 metre supply hose is what you should use....

Ramsgate is a lovely town.
Great views ..good restaurants and bars.
Nice walks.

Pain in the arse if you own a motorhome.
No parking in the beach carparks.

Couple of sites ,one walking distance to the seafront (just) 20mins.

cant believe the cadac haters havent surfaced on this thread yet ...:LOL:

as for the bullfinch connecting, as an aside, it will make your van more sellable, having a working bullfinch connection as opposed to a non working one ... if i was looking at vans and i saw one where the external connection had been disconnected, i would wonder what else is an issue ....

Podney - Basically it a gas cooking plate. I’ve had mine a few years now so obviously didn’t cost the price they are today! I like the fact that the Safari Chef (which I have) packs up neatly into a dedicated bag and stores easily under the bed. There are numerous different ‘plates’ but I only tend to use the griddle one. Keeps the smell of burgers etc out of the van!

A Cadac may just be a cooking plate according to some but last weekend I cooked the following on it…

Pizza
Sausage and egg muffins
Chilli
Full English (sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and black pudding)
Jerk chicken legs and corn on the cob

We use ours a lot, for our Cadac Safari.

I've developed an echo!

i still remember the first time we cooked a pizza on ours ............. now its our 'go to' other than a bbq. we always buy bog standard pizzas and add our own toppings - looking forward to our new moho (yes M-J we have moved on twice since you pointed out the Bolero ...)

We have pizzas on most trips, so easy and quick with virtually no cleaning after.

I had noticed you ordered another MH without me having to point you to it :roflmto:

First thing I fitted on our new van the Bulfinch is much better to use on the side of a van as the Richt is awkward to attach the pipe.
We use a Webber bbq also have a lpg Honda genny for backup.

I have the little pack away Cadac and love how versatile it is.. small, lightweight... no fuss cleaning it... so does that make me 7? ... brought at discounted end of season price so works for us

its cos i am growed up enough now .........::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile: - actually the one we had on order couldn't be provided with the spec we had asked for - NOT the fault of the dealer, who i must say was absolutely brilliant and understanding and returned our deposit without question. so we collect a different one next week - counting down the hours and stupidly buying things before its even in our possession and not fully knowing what we need ....
