Hi,

Can anyone recommend any companies that do extended MH warranties which cover longer periods, i.e greater than 180 days per annum, outside the UK?

Many thanks in advance.

You appear to be conflating two different subjects.

Caravan Guard do up to 9 month abroad in their insurance and breakdown cover. Is that what you are after?

I am not aware of any exclusions on new motorhomes covering use abroad but that is possible. I would not know.

Thanks for responding. I'm looking at options for extended vehicle warranty (mechanical and habitation), not vehicle insurance or breakdown cover. The challenge is that the companies that I have found so far restrict the amount of time that the vehicle can be outside of the UK for the warranty to remain valid.

Given the age of my vehicle that is not something of which I have any experience but interesting to know!

I'm not sure you'll find anyone what with most of the warranty vendors relying on certain shops doing work (which won't mostly take a vechile like a motorhome, hence why not offering).

You are probably better putting the money you would have spent on warranty in a ISA ready to self-insure in event of issues.
(thats what we do). We trust the main dealers abroad not very much as you'll find if you search threads here about breakdowns in EU and needing to come back becuase of gearbox faults that are fixable in UK, but not Spain (where they'll sell you a gearbox but not fix one!).
