Our shower tray cracked due to loss of structure I think. We have a duck board and I've repaired the tray with fibre glass and it's water tight again but it flexes quite a lot.
I can access underneath easily and inject expanding foam under the tray to give it some lustre but is there any I should avoid to prevent it dissolving the existing insulation?

I've just had my cracked shower tray repaired professionally. As part of the repair they injected foam under it which has made it feel much more rigid. The repair is Guaranteed for 10 years too.

Just don’t put too much in as it may lift the tray, it needs somewhere to expand to, put a bit under and you can add more later and you will get an idea of how much it expands

Thanks for the responses, is there one to avoid? I'm just concerned that some aerosols can eat pir and I don't want more damage doing.

Might be better with low expansion foam, then you have better control over the expansion.

I've got a gun so I'll get some gun grade low expansion cellulose waterproof foam and ask my dad to stand on the duck board whilst I squirt it in underneath steadily.

Thanks all, will report back results.
