I've just installed 2 x 80ah Exide ES900 gel batteries and have also changed the mppt solar controller.

I initially wanted a Votronic 350 duo but there doesn't seem to be any UK stock so I've gone for a Victron 100/30 MPPT smartsolar.

Currently we have 1 x 120w solar fitted but I'll be adding another one soon, but for now I'm trying to find out what the charging parameters are for these batteries.

My EBL unit has been switched to gel so that's OK, but I want to make sure the Victron is giving the correct absorption, float and equalisation voltages. I've searched online and can't find any info about the ES900 charging voltages so that I can set the victron up correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ta, Paul

Surely the victron will have a standard GEL setting? 🤔

Lenny HB will know.

Yeah Paul you should be able to select the standard victron settings, download victron connect then change the settings with bluetooth

Thanks Dave! That's a great help 👍 I've got 2 x ES900's so does the number in brackets represent 1 battery or 2 batteries?

No this will be fine for the 2 batteries, the 1 and 2 in brackets is for slightly different charge profiles I used the (1) on my gels and it was fine.
