Eurotunnel strike

Maybe not such a bad move as I don’t think Eurotunnel have ever made a profit and their rolling stock is getting so worn sooner rather than later they are going to have to spend a fortune on refurbishing it🤔🤔
It’s not always about turning a profit it is about giving the French the ability to create havoc here in the UK, all they need to do is block some ferry ports and the tunnel and we are virtual prisoners on this Island, don’t the French just love it …..🤷🏻‍♂️

Bloody Hell!!!!
All I got for a Christmas bonus was a tin of Quality Street and a half hearted "Thank You" for all your effort.
Work for the NHS!
That's why I took early retirement :xThumb:
21 weeks holiday this year versus working all public holidays? Let me think for a pico second about that one
:xrofl:

We do have other alternatives but on the scale of things a few days a year of inconvenience is not that bad.
We need a tunnel to Belgium😁😁

My son lives in France, he's booked on le Shuttle on Saturday. When I heard of the strike I let him know. His response 'it's France, it'll all be sorted by tomorrow '.

Nice bridge would do with on both sides of the bridge every 100 yards a wind turbine, a win win lol😇😎😆

I too have taken early retirement, but not from the NHS.
Only joined on a part time basis to stop my private pension , supplemented from another job, getting depleted too much, but have another occupational pension yet to come in 3 years plus in 5 years the state one will kick in.
Only really gone back to work to a) keep my body and mind active, and b) start the funding for a change of motorhome to an A class at some point, but not a new one.
Am fortunate to be in a position that if they start taking the mickey I can say stuff it and walk away, but I actually like the job I do.
It's the management and lack of cohesion within the NHS I don't get.
But hey ho. Onwards and Upwards as they say.
Have a nice Christmas.
I am not on rota for any of the Christmas Bank Holidays or new year, but am working in between.

Ask the Chinese they'll have it built by new year with a tunnel to help at peak times.
