Europe insurance & Recovery

Can anybody please recommend any combined medical and recovery insurance apart from CAMC Red Pennant or even purchased separately - the reason being is that CAMC RP are asking for a £243 additional supplement because the cut off weight for recovery is 4250kg, however although the plated max permissible laden weight of our van is 4.5t but the van is never more than 4250kg which if they used this actual weight we would meet the criteria and be ok but they are refusing to accept 4250kg as the weight figure

They are having a meeting with the underwriters but I won’t hold my breath but I won’t be paying an additional £243 for 250kg which isn’t even an issue

Is that for the travel insurance or the recovery? - I note that the travel insurance covers up to 90 days in our age bracket

Recovery/breakdown chaser used them and highly recommended them.

Thanks for the replies everybody- since my post, I have done some investigation into our Fiat Maximum 5 year care warranty that we purchased when van was new and after some digging and phone calls (because the wording is a bit grey) this policy covers us for recovery for both breakdowns and or accidents both in UK and Europe so we will just need medical cover now I think
