I have just received an email from eurotunnel, Le shuttle.
Next years travel can now be booked online or by telephone if using Tesco vouchers. If, like me you have more than one voucher you have to call Le shuttle direct 0344 8797088 and all vouchers can be applied. If you have just 1voucher you can do it online.
Our return trip cost £61 plus vouchers. Bargain I say. A European September/October is on the calendar.

Yes former frequent traveller so used to booking by phone and even changing very close to time once or twice but I've got a Tesco card now and hoping to use some vouchers but they re only small numbers £4.50 £7.50 and £15 so I was wondering whether the 2 smaller ones would just be taken by the difference?

We've just paid £170 one way and £150 the other ......and they charged us £22 extra for the dog

You use the App to convert however many vouchers you wish into a single Eurotunnel voucher code that you give the call handler when you ring them. 👍

Have just booked for later in year after a bit of confusion on my part regarding app. As I normally use Tesco vouchers then phone, which I did, but was told they now charge £20 for this privilege and can easily book on My Eurotunnel app.
So went onto the app, which I’d previously done to check price and hey presto now booked. When it prompts you to put in a promo code at that stage I just left it until further on when it states about using Tesco vouchers then you put in the code. Vastly better than phoning, just pay the difference with your card as the code ( supplied by Tesco to your mobile ) reduces the balance.
Ray
PS if you have a problem of any kind they told me an error code would come up which you need to note as if you have ring up to book they need the error code TOO wave the £20 charge

We use Tesco vouchers and always book online, also easy to make amendments now.
However as we changed our return to half-term week (no choice unfortunately) it was £60 more and we couldn't use vouchers to pay the extra.

I booked last week for a return using part tesco‘s voucher , using Eurotunnel website with no issues.

It's a lot easier with clubcard points now that they let you amend a booking online without having to call them. The change to putting the clubcard voucher code in instead of having to phone them also speeds the process up a lot.

I've booked our last two crossings using Tesco vouchers online, it is so much easier than when I had to ring Eurotunnel to make the booking. Plus with the app, all the info is to hand as well.

Exactly the same as we paid outwards though haven't booked return and had to pay for two dogs. Don't have any Tesco vouchers as I always use Morrisons and lidl.
We don’t shop at Tesco‘s but you can still have and use a Tesco credit card where ever you shop or whatever you buy, this will earn you points.

Yes, we have a Tesco credit card and we use it for absolutely everything and pay it off every couple of days. The points soon mount up.

Why do you pay it off every couple of days? You get up to 56 days interest free so just need to have a DD set up to pay off the balance in full.

Each way.
Yes we didnt realise until we took the dog to check in at calais that the £22 was only on way despite us having return tickets 🤷‍♂️.
So we 'saved' £35 with booking through the CCC and then spent an extra £44 cuz they didnt register the dog on the booking 😩 ....won't be doing that again!

It's just the way we do it. We like to keep a close eye on our spending. We use the card for everything, even if its just something for £1 or less. Bank is Halifax so I use their app on phone to pay it off, takes a few seconds.

If you used a Tesco credit card you could get points to use for other stuff.

Does anyone pay the ridiculous extra charge (about 100% increase) for Flex plus and the flex plus lounge? Can't see the point in a motorhome. If you want a cup of tea, you put the kettle on (as long as you turn the gas off, obv)
And how important is priority boarding and disembarkation? Seem the best you can ever get is four or five minutes quicker.

Am I missing something? Is it worth it to pay 600 quid for a £300 ticket? Even if Tesco points are being used?

I don't get it either and there never seems to be many people using the facilities etc.

No to all your questions, it doesn't seem worth it to us either. Even if we are in the car and not the motorhome, we wouldn't pay the extra.

I told ET that on their survey last week too 😸

Seems every time we go on the tunnel we end up going straight on after checking the pups in and then have a cuppa while travelling over/under😁
Have arrived over 2 hours early before and asked if we would like the next train, never been asked to pay😁👍

Bit of a mix up I think, sorry! We use our Tesco credit card to pay for everything but I transfer from our halifax current account to pay the Tesco card. I prob didn’t explain clearly.

I would think that 99% of the time a company is paying for the ticket. Difficult to think why anyone else would be that time poor.
