Travelling February do we need etias or is it deferred or any other documents to enter Spain

What is ETIAS

The rules of travel to Europe have changed. Starting six months after EES, some 1.4 billion people from over 60 visa-exempt countries are required to have a travel authorisation to enter most European countries.

At present No. At some time in the future probably although they keep deferring it and so may possibly abandon the idea eventually.

Came through the Eurotunnel recently and they have built a whole new check in and EES check set of terminals, all under cover. Enormous investment so it had better happen eventually.

I think it is going to happen gradually. I read somewhere that the EU expect every EU country to have some EES border controls ready. I think I also read that Eurostar were ready to go for the previous deadline, even down to beginning to recruit staff. They were not happy with the delay. So I guess where the infra structure is ready these are likely to start first.
Given the intro of the ETA from other countries including EU into UK I would think the EU would be anxious to be able to introduce the ETIAS, which it cant until EES is in place.
