ETIAS & Exit /Entry requirements 2023

I believe the ETIAS system planned for intro May 23 has been deferred to November 2023, but the Entry/Exit changes are still planned for May 2023.
Has anyone a clear understanding of what travellers to France just before May 23, or leaving EU after May 23 changes...will fingerprints, other biometric data be required, etc?

Hopefully someone will have a clearer understanding and can explain in nice simple terms that I can understand
