Have reserved 10 electric pitches with Waldegraves

Self Catering Holidays in Essex. Holiday Park, Mersea Island, Essex | Waldegraves

When booking please quote reference 21895 and state you are with motorhome fun.

If you have already booked just give Waldegraves a quick call and let them know you are with the motorhome fun group as they are pitching us all together.

Prices are £12 per night any dogs are £2 per night.

On the Saturday night there is the end of season fancy dress party in the club house with a live band called Phyzical. (fancy dress is optional).

Dont forget your fishing rods and bait - there are fishing lakes on site and its beside the sea

If its not too early for everyone we hope weather permitting to have welcome drinks outside our camper at 5pm and we will fire up barbeque too so brings yours along and join in xxxxxxxxxx

It is not a camping or caravan club exclusive site and all motorhome fun members are welcome to join in - once the first 10 reserved pitches are full there is provision for at least another 10 close by so we are all together

It will be really great to have a meet in Essex, not far for me to go.

We have an Excelsoir drive away awning, and maybe if we can talk Bob and Jane to take theirs we can put them together.

Depending on the weather that is and the extra cost of putting them up.

I am quite excited, looking forward to it.

It would be great if you and Bob and Jane could house us under your canopies - Most sites dont charge for the opening of the canopy but do charge for awnings. Waldegraves charge £4 per night per awning so two awnings would cost £16.
Between those that are going it works out either £1 or £2 per group of funsters attending xxxxx

I am sure there will be drinks both nights xxxxx but thought welcome drinks on the friday would be an icebreaker for those who dont know each other. The time may change dependent on everyone's arrival times xxx

I am sure we will all have a great time xxx

Hi, good idea and happy to contribute. Spoke to a lady tonight who said that drinks were a bit dear in the bar there.

Wont arrive till about 5.30, unless I grovel nicely to boss and try and get away a bit earlier!!! :shout:

Spoke to Waldegraves this morning who have kindly reserved us some more pitches.

Ourcampersbeentrashed will be on pitch number 61 so come find us when you arrive.

The pitch numbers reserved for motorhome fun are

56-64 (some already allocated to members who have booked)
67-73
82-84
86 and 87

Waldegraves are going to get back to me with the hog roast menu the tickets for this are £5 per head. They also have a separate restaurant that is open.

The fancy dress on the Saturday night and entertainment are free and we can go to these without any extra payment.

Will let you know more when they have got back to us.

Our son Robert wants to take part in fancy dress on the Saturday so I am sure I will find something to dress up in and Tony might too too but whether we go to the entertainment for more than half an hour is a completely different matter.

Certainly once his bed time arrives I will partying by the camper

Obviously its up to each of us as individuals to decide what to do meal wise.
Weather permitting we will be barbequeing both nights and anyone is welcome to join us.

Disappointed to say were not able to make the weekend but after reading about this meet we paid Waldegraves a visit on Thursday just a recce for a future visit. Great site lovely location next to the beach. The staff are very friendly and plenty of amenities for all. We will definitely return in the New Year. You need to note the high tides though, we had to wait a couple of hours to get back across the bridge. I’m sure the weekend will be a hoot.:Cool:

Numbers for Hog Roast Please xxxx

TWO IMPORTANT ITEMS for those attending -



Angela from Waldegraves phoned today


1) 12 have been booked but I only have 9 motorhomefun usernames/confirmations so please let us know who you are xxxx



2) The hog roast is FREE and starts at 7pm on the Saturday


It is basically roast pork in a roll with potato salad and other accompaniments

Waldegraves would like to know how many funsters will want the Hog Roast so that they can cater for everyone.

Please can you reply stating either YES or NO and if the answer is YES please state how many people within your booking will want food.

I have been asked to get back to her as soon as possible with numbers for the Hog Roast
