esim in Morocco

Hello Funsters

Looking at buying an esim before arriving in Morocco from the likes of Holafly and Airaflo - they seem very expensive.

So best option seems to be buying an esim from Maroc Telecom after arriving.

Does anyone have experience of doing this & was it a straightforward exercise?

For us it was dead easy. We stopped at the first booth off the ferry, changed some money and bought a Maroc SIM with 20GB. The guys at the booth set the SIM up in the phone for us. I used an app called recharge.com to top the data up as needed. You pay over the odds for using recharge but for us the convenience outweighed the extra fee.

Hi it was a physical SIM card. I don't even know what an esim is, I assumed it was a typo I'm off to Google it now. Every day's a school day
