We are due to fly to the Canary Islands this week and, on a page listing our booking, it states that we require proof of vaccination.

We have this as the NHS COVID Travel Pass but wonder……

Has anyone been asked to show it during your journey
If so, at what stage did you have to show it.

Thanks for any guidance.

In the very early stages we were asked to show the nhs app in two restaurants.

Thanks but I am asking about checks when checking in for flights or going through Customs/Border Control on the way to, or on arrival in, Spanish Territory.

When we flew to Turkey last October we had to show our vaccine passes at Gatwick but not in Turkey and no checks on the way home.

When we entered France a few weeks ago no checks at all were made either by British or French border control.

We went to Fueretaventura 3 weeks ago and were asked to show the NHS app on arrival although it seemed pretty random whether you were asked or not. For the cost of 5 minutes sorting it I wouldn't risk it. We were also advised we would need to wear ffp2 masks on the plane both ways luckily that didn't happen.

I was asked once or twice in 3 weeks last December but no problems

IF, your asked to show the barcode on your app it will be at one (or some of) check-in, the boarding gate, and arrivals around passport control area, but probably none of these. 😎 Enjoy your trip 👍

Last week at Murcia airport immediately before passport control they were looking at everyone's Covid pass. But a very cursory look.

Had to show the Covid app on arrival at Barcelona airport 2 weeks ago, they scanned the QR code of my booster dose. They were also very strict about mask wearing on the airport transfer buses.

In May we went to Ibiza, we had our covid passes on our phones and also a paper copy in case of signal issues, didn't have to show either, also after passport check in non EU passengers were funnelled into a different queue and then 20 foot later re-joined the throng,

Usually when youve got through passport control they have a scanner to zap your qr code which we always take a paper one that we have printed off its the 3rd booster one that they want to see
the uk airports used to ask for it but they dont seem to now …..happy holidays pampam

Already have the Pass organised on our ‘phones and printed too. Just wondering when we may have to produce them.

Thanks.
