Engine management errors codes

Following the introduction of the engine warning light on my dash, I borrowed my friend's OBD analyser and can see that there were two error codes

1. EGR Flow insufficient
2. Throttle Actuator

I have managed clear 1, but 2 does not want to go away.

I have tried disconnecting the battery to no avail.

Any ideas out there? The 3L Fiat Ducato is running perfectly by the way.

It probably needs resetting via the obd with multiecuscan or equivalent

Throttle actuator faulty? Try unplugging a few times, worked on my Navara.

Do you have a vacuum solenoid on the back of the bracket under he centre lower of your windscreen?
Is it making the normal noises?

Yes. I've been looking at that. A couple of the hoses were split and I repaired them. Can't see anything else suspect without trying to take it apart? The worst split hose was the air intake with filter.

Have you cleaned the throttle air valve? (throttle body), it needs to be clean to be able to fully idle set.

This unit and the throttle body work together so a fault with the vacuum unit can be indicated as a TB issue. TB shuts, as the other operates the EGR valve. If it doesn’t operate the EGR then TB struggles to deal with the MAP readings

turbo solenoid test.

There is a specific option to test the boost valve in multiEcuScan. Just select that test (with the ignition on, but without the engine running) and it will signal the valve to open/close a number of times. You should be able to feel and hear it. At the same time it should allow the turbo actuator rod to move up and down a few times until the vacuum has been used up.
one time valve ok less than 3-4 times vaccum pipes.
with a x250 can see turbo actuator from bellow

Sounds like I need to invest in a multiEcuscan then. Or maybe ask my local garage to fix for me 🤔

If you are reasonably confident then £50 for a license of multiecuscan and around £20 for the obd connector
Is a real good investment
