Bailey approach adva
Exp
I am a newbie
My engine light came on this am with an add blue warning sign, we added the ad blue that warning sign hasn't come back but the engine light stays on. Tried resetting it, still comes back on. It's a bailey approach advance 665 on a Peugeot boxer engine. Your advise and tips are most welcome.

Thanks for your reply much appreciated, drove for 1 hour yesterday still on:cry::cry: heading off to France week and a half beginning to panic,

How did you read and reset the engine warning light? Was it with Multiecuscan?

Ok, so the adblue light was reset not the engine warning light.

Multiecuscan is fiat software that plugs into the ecu through the obd port and is able to read and reset engine warning Light faults.

You may be able to reset it by disconnecting the negative of the engine battery for a period of around 15 minutes then reconnecting.

First time topping up
To clarify simultaneously Adblue & Engine warning lights came on?
Topped up AdBlue, into AdBlue tank, Adblue warning light has gone out, but Engine warning light still on.
Engine warning light being illuminated engine symbol?
Miles on clock?

OK, 25,250 means it's not the "common" 2,500 mile DPF sensor failure common on Fiat, Peugeot, Citroen vans, blamed on faulty batch of sensors installed
2020 - 2021. They are in the exhaust system.
As the Adblue does not actually run out when the refill light comes on, still a few litres left like fuel warning light, there should not have been any sudden
changes to emissions.
Presuming van not in "limp/safe" mode.
If battery disconnection does not resolve, then your into diagnostic tests, DIY or Pro?

OBD2/OBDII Scanners vary greatly, I have a £60 one that is advertised as being for Ducato 2.3D but on the one occasion I've used it, DPF Sensor failed the returned
code was not recognised and as DPF Sensor had failed it would not clear. Others posting have had more success with them.
Lots of YouTube videos about them.

+ 1 for French supermarket fuel being a possible cause.

Was so relieved to find this thread yesterday, set off from near Limoges -just starting 2nd week - and the orange engine light stayed on and would not go out. All seemed good with the engine ( 2018 Multijet2 2.3 150 - without AdBlue) just the orange light.

Had 1/4 of my second tank of supermarket fuel left, so used that up on the trip up to Saumur (one of my fave places). Filled up at a TotalEnergie petrol station with about 15 miles to go. When I restarted the engine after checking in …… the light had gone (y)

Thanks to all on this forum, a wealth of information and knowledge that can help you out when far from home.
Out of interest, what is it (or not in it) that causes the issue and if it just French supermarkets that cause this ?????
